2 Chronicles Chapter 17 Asa’s son Jehoshaphat is next in line for the throne. Like father, like son? Sort of. Jehoshaphat starts off by building up the army and defenses in Judah. He also rejects any god who’s not named Yahweh, unlike some other kings we could mention. God brings glory and honor to the new king because of his faithfulness. About three years into his reign, Jehoshaphat sends teachers all over Judah to instruct the people in the proper ways to worship the Lord. The Lord is impressed that no one skips Hebrew school for soccer practice. Even outside of Judah, people respect Jehoshaphat. The Philistines and the Arabs bring him gifts because Jehoshaphat’s put the fear of god in them. The guy’s got respect, money, armies, and power. What could go wrong? Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” https://temtube.com/#followforfollowback
