Whoever believes in me will live, even though they die. 26Everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?\u201d 27She replied, \u201cYes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, God\u2019s Son, the one who is coming into the world.\u201d 28After she said this, she went and spoke privately to her sister Mary, \u201cThe teacher is here and he\u2019s calling for you.\u201d 29When Mary heard this, she got up quickly and went to Jesus. 30He hadn\u2019t entered the village but was still in the place where Martha had met him. 31When the Jews who were comforting Mary in the house saw her get up quickly and leave, they followed her. They assumed she was going to mourn at the tomb. 32When Mary arrived where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, \u201cLord, if you had been here, my brother wouldn\u2019t have died.\u201d 33When Jesus saw her crying and the Jews who had come with her crying also, he was deeply disturbed and troubled. 34He asked, \u201cWhere have you laid him?\u201d They replied, \u201cLord, come and see.\u201d 35Jesus began to cry. 36The Jews said, \u201cSee how much he loved him!\u201d 37But some of them said, \u201cHe healed the eyes of the man born blind. Couldn\u2019t he have kept Lazarus from dying?\u201d John 15:16 You didn\u2019t choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you could go and produce fruit and so that your fruit could last.
